3: Filtering Your Sites

You can select some columns of your data on which to filter your sites. In PolicyMap, a filter is the way that you show a limited set of your sites. For example, you could filter to view only the houses built after 1990. Or, of all public housing, filter to show only those sites that are designated for the elderly. You will access your filters through the Add Sites & Boundaries Menu.

Filters may include

  • type of investments by distinct categories, such as housing, basic needs, education, etc;
  • dollar amount by buckets, such as <$100,000, $100,000 to $200,000, >$200,000, etc;
  • year or groups of years, such as Pre-2000, 2000, 2001 to 2002, etc; or
  • other categories specific to your data.

If you are uncertain what filters you want, leave this blank and PolicyMap will respond with some recommendations.
