Philadelphia Fed Introduces Map Your Community

The Map Your Community interface is a new tool that allows you to create a customized map of any community. You can select the economic data and demographic characteristics you would like the map to illustrate, as well as set geographical boundaries.

Developed by PolicyMap and provided by the Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia, Map Your Community allows you to easily create custom maps for user-defined locations. Maps can provide a snapshot of current and historical economic and demographic conditions and can be used to analyze data for a wide range of community development activities. Information is available for many socioeconomic variables, such as poverty levels, census tract income levels, post office vacancies, and educational attainment.
Access Map Your Community from any web browser. Try it out by clicking below:

The next steps are easy. Simply enter a location into the search box, select data layers for analysis, and immediately begin creating your own interactive custom maps.

You may contact John Wackes of the Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia by telephone at (215) 574-3810 or by e-mail at john.j.wackes@phil.frb.org if you have questions.
