Datasets Removed from PolicyMap

With tens of thousands of indicators on PolicyMap, and new datasets constantly being added, we need to occasionally consider whether certain older datasets still serve our users. We want to make sure all the data on PolicyMap is useful, up-to-date, and pertinent to people’s needs.

As such, we’ve removed some lesser-used datasets from PolicyMap:

  • Lyme disease data from the CDC.
  • Small Business Administration (SBA) loans.
  • Student proficiency data from the New America Foundation. This data was collected in 2011 and is no longer being updated. Student proficiency data is still available on PolicyMap, with up-to-date data from GreatSchools. GreatSchools data is available to subscribers.

If you are looking to use any of these datasets, or if there’s any other data you’d like us to include in our database, please let us know. Feedback plays a big role in helping us decide which areas of data we focus on.
