Investment in home repair is needed in one in three housing units in the country, and African Americans disproportionately live in substandard housing. To discuss the issue, PolicyMap’s Eliza Wallace and report co-author Eileen Divringi of the Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia were guests on WURD, a Philadelphia radio station serving Philadelphia’s Black community. They talked with host Solomon Jones about what their research shows, how it impacts the Black community, and what’s needed to solve the problem.
