Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco’s Latest Publication Relies on PolicyMap

In a recent report, “Climate Adaptation Investment and the Community Reinvestment Act,” the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco uses PolicyMap data in six different maps to demonstrate where disaster declarations occur throughout the country. Specifically, the maps show which counties with disaster declarations are CRA (Community Reinvestment Act) eligible.

New combined data on Designated Opportunity Zones and New Markets Tax Credit Eligibility for CY2018 is now available

FEMA Disaster Areas (Severe Storms, Hurricanes, Floods, and more) are updated to include disasters declared through early June 2019.

Medicare opioid prescription claims data from Centers for Medicare and Medicaid (CMS) is updated to 2017 and includes information about all opioid claims as well as long-acting (extended release) opioids.

FBI Crime data has been updated to 2017. This dataset shows crime rates at the city, county, and state level.

Number of building permits issued for new buildings for single and multifamily homes from the Census are now updated through 2018.

Capital Magnet Fund Economic Distress and Rural Areas from the CDFI Fund are updated to 2019.

Unemployment, employment and labor force participation from the BLS are updated to May 2019.

Vacancy rates including business and residential vacancy from Valassis Lists are updated to 2019Q2 and available to PolicyMap subscribers.

HUD Community Development Block Grant Eligibility Criteria (CDBG) data is updated for 2019. This includes HUD CDBG eligible block groups, median income, low/mod income, and low income information.

CDC flu data is updated to include the most recent 2018-2019 flu season (Oct – May). This includes average level of flu activity and weeks of high or moderate flu activity.
