PolicyMap at the ALA Annual Conference in Washington

The American Library Association was created to provide leadership for the development, promotion, and improvement of library and information services and the profession of librarianship in order to enhance learning and ensure access to information for all.

We’ll be at the ALA Annual Conference in Washington DC at the Washington Convention Center between Friday (6/25/10) till Monday (6/28/10). PolicyMap will demonstrate great new datasets recently release, like Presidential Election data, small business and farm loans from the Community Reinvestment Act, or religious affiliation. Are you a school that would like to have access to over 15,000 indicators of data for students to use in various classes? Come by our booth to learn about our library IP-based license.

Visit Elizabeth Nash and Phil Vu at booth # 705 in the Washington DC Convention Center between 6/25 – 6/28 for the American Library Association Annual Conference.

“I’ve found that PolicyMap is a very effective tool in transforming students from research consumers to research producers. In the past, my introductory research class students became discouraged before they could produce results. I asked students to use PolicyMap to tell me some distinctive qualities of their own neighborhood, they were on the site and producing maps and analyses very quickly.”– Mark Stern,
Professor of Social Welfare and History Co-Director, Urban Studies program University of Pennsylvania
