PolicyMap Recommended by Choice Magazine, Aug 2013!

We are thrilled that Choice: Current Reviews for Academic Libraries recently evaluated PolicyMap and gave PolicyMap its recommendation for university libraries in its August 2013 issue.

“The site (PolicyMap) does a remarkable job of collocating numerous data sources, providing sophisticated tools to visualize the data (including maps, tables and reports), and adhering to an ethos that promotes sharing.”

Choice: Current Reviews for Academic Libraries is the premier source for reviews of academic books, electronic media, and Internet resources of interest to those in higher education. More than 35,000 librarians, faculty, and key decision makers rely on Choice Magazine and Choice Reviews Online for collection development and scholarly research. Choice reaches almost every undergraduate college and university library in the United States.

Providing access to university libraries is something we’ve only just started to do more broadly and we are learning that the fit is a good one. Students are using PolicyMap in a variety of schools and curriculums, such as social sciences, urban planning, public policy and business administration. It allows them to focus on understanding geographic data – not collecting it or learning how to use expensive mapping software.

We are happy to share that we have a growing list of universities now using PolicyMap and while we haven’t gotten around to updating our client list in some time (we aren’t very good at that), know that if you are a student or professor at one of the following universities, you can access PolicyMap through your university library system.
