Description:

The Civil Rights Data Collection (CRDC) contains wide-ranging data on equity among public schools. The data is based on school district responses to a biennial survey conducted by the Office of Civil Rights in the Department of Education. The indicators in this dataset can be grouped into the following categories:

  • School Information
  • School Enrollment (includes students by race and ethnicity, students with Limited English Proficiency, and students with disabilities)
  • School Staff (FTE equivalent)
  • Gifted and Talented Programs
  • Retention
  • In School Suspension (ISS)
  • Out of School Suspension (OSS)
  • Expulsions
  • Harrassment and Bullying
  • Criminal Offenses
  • Referrals to Law Enforcement
  • Arrests
  • Restraint
  • Seclusion
  • Corporal Punishment.
