Introducing CultureBlocks

PolicyMap is hard at work on CultureBlocks, an online hub of arts and culture data for Philadelphia. Set to be released at the end of 2012, CultureBlocks will be a free and publicly available web tool powered by a robust geospatial database. The site was first announced last month at a public meeting hosted by Philadelphia’s Office of Arts, Culture, and the Creative Economy (OACCE).

The development of the site is a collaboration of the City of Philadelphia, the University of Pennsylvania’s Social Impact of the Arts Project (SIAP), and the Reinvestment Fund.

CultureBlocks is made possible by the generous support of ArtPlace. To find out more about the partnership developing the tool, check out a blog they recently posted here featuring an interview with PolicyMapper Katie Nelson.
