PolicyMap at the 2018 Charleston Conference

Are you headed to this year’s Charleston Conference? PolicyMap will be there, are we’re looking forward to seeing all the librarians who have brought PolicyMap to their schools.

We want to hear about all the ways PolicyMap is being used! Please come and share with us what departments, classes, students, and professors are using PolicyMap. How much time and effort is it saving them as an alternative to gathering data themselves and using complex mapping software?

We’re particularly interested to hear who is using the download feature, which lets users download place-based data from dozens of sources, like the Census, Bureau of Labor Statistics, and CDC, in a constantly formatted spreadsheet file for use with other research tools.

We’d also like to hear from libraries who’ve made use of our new Community Health Report, which offers easy-to-interpret and extensive data on the state of health outcomes and social determinants of health for any county in the country.

And if your library is not a PolicyMap subscriber, we’d love to tell you what we’ve heard from your fellow librarians. Stop by our table, and we’ll show you how PolicyMap is a vital resource for both data novices and experts from departments ranging from public health to sociology to law.

This year’s Charleston Conference is being held on November 6-9, in Charleston, S.C. We’re at table 61. Stop by and say hi!
