New FBI Crime and Home Sale Data Up on PolicyMap

You’ll now find crime data, such as the murder rate in LA or the NYC murder rate, from the FBI for 2005 through 2008 on PolicyMap. This data contains the number and percent of aggravated assaults, burglaries, murder, motor vehicle thefts, and more for counties and cities across the nation. View them in interactive maps and create comparative or time series charts. All for free on PolicyMap.

Home sale statistics for the 3rd quarter of 2009 have been processed and are now in PolicyMap. These home sale statistics can give you the actual number of homes sold, their median sale price, and more in neighborhoods across the country. Home sale data is available going back to 2001, so check out the trends in the areas you care about or see how an area compares to surrounding communities. This data, which we license from Boxwood Means, Inc, is available to subscribers only.
